Europeanization of civil society as institutional change (2009-2011)
Post-doctoral research project funded by the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation (Riksbankens Jubileumsfond). The project focuses on the extent to which the transnationalisation and Europeanisation processes affect the way civil society organisations define and relate to their constituencies. Affiliated with the TRANSDEMOS programme.
New Voices, Old Roots: Dilemmas of Populism in Enlarged Europe(2007-2009)
funded by the Baltic Sea Foundation. My part in the project focuses on the role played by Eurosceptic political parties in the discursive construction of “Europe”.
Regulating Chemicals in the Baltic Sea Area: The Politics of Expertise(2006-2008) funded by the Baltic Sea Foundation, and the Swedish Research Council for Environment, Agricultural Sciences and Spatial Planning (FORMAS). The project focused on the relationship between experts and decision-makers in policy processes in the field of chemicals regulation at the EU and national levels.

• Facilitator within the European Civil Society PhD Network;
• Member of the E.V.A. (European Voluntary Associations in the Modern and the Contemporary Period) research network based at the Renvall Institute in Helsinki.
