Alexa Robertson does research and teaches on the political role of the media, with a focus on Europe and a comparative approach. Her particular interest is the relationship between television news reporting and the cultivation of collective identities, both national and European, and the way news stories are told, rather than the information they contain.
Alexa Robertson won the Stockholm University Pedagogical Prize for the Social Science Faculty in 2004 and was the recipient of a STINT Fellowship for Excellence in Teaching in 2006. This enabled her to accept a position as Research Associate at Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania 2006/07.
