Jonas Tallberg is Professor of Political Science at Stockholm University. His primary research interests are international institutions and multilateral negotiations, with a regional specialization in European Union politics.

Tallberg is author of Leadership and Negotiation in the European Union (Cambridge University Press, 2006) and European Governance and Supranational Institutions: Making States Comply (Routledge, 2003), co-editor of Transnational Actors in Global Governance (Palgrave, 2010), and author or editor of several additional books in Swedish. He has published articles in International Organization, International Studies Quarterly, European Journal of International Relations, Global Governance, Journal of Common Market Studies, Journal of European Public Policy, and West European Politics. He has been a visiting researcher at Harvard University, McGill University, the Norwegian Centre for Advanced Study, the European Commission, and the Swedish Institute of International Affairs.

He has been awarded grants from the European Research Council, the Fulbright Commission, the Swedish Research Council, the Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation, and the Nordic Research Academy. He currently serves as chairman of the Democratic Audit of the Centre for Business and Policy Studies (SNS Demokratiråd), and as member of the ECPR Executive Committee and of the Steering Committee of the ECPR Standing Group on the European Union.
