Citizenship discourses

Citizenship is a dynamic and multidimensional concept that plays a central role in theoretical and empirical political science. In political theory it conjures up normative expectations about designing justice in opportunities, activities, and outcomes. For empirical political scientists, citizenship is a state of political affairs in a continuous state of development and, therefore, in constant need for new field investigations.

The Department of Political Science's citizenship discourses involve scholars from other universities in Sweden and leading journalists in Sweden.
